NOTICE OF ANNUAL HOMEOWNERS MEETING
Please attend the Chesapeake Village Annual Homeowners Meeting to be held on:

TIME: 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm
LOCATION: Chesapeake Village; Cannoncade Court cul-de-sac
Chesapeake Beach, Maryland 20732
Dear Homeowner,
Each year the homeowners/members of Chesapeake Village HOA are eligible to nominate persons to the Board of Directors. The Board is comprised of 5 homeowners who control all operating duties of your homeowners association.
This year, there are three (3) Board member openings. The elected Board members hold a three-year term. If you are interested in serving on the HOA Board, or know of another homeowner/member, complete and return the nomination form enclosed. You can also access the form on the website, www.chesapeakevillage.org. Written nominations must be received by email (Chesapeakevillage@gmail.com) by October 4, 2024 to be included on the written ballot available at the Annual Homeowners Meeting. Additional nominations may be made from the floor during this meeting.
Also enclosed is a Proxy Form. It is important to complete the Proxy Form, if you are unable to attend the meeting. The Proxy Form allows you to assign your proxy to another homeowner of the association that is attending the meeting, in order to reach quorum. According to the HOA Declaration of Covenants, a quorum of 25% of the 218 homeowners must be reached for a valid meeting. If the quorum is not reached during this meeting, a subsequent meeting will be held during the scheduled November 12, 2024 Board of Directors meeting, and the meeting will be valid at that time.
In addition to the Board Member(s) election, the 2025 proposed budget will be presented. A copy of the proposed budget is on the reverse side of this notice.
Lastly, the Mayor of Chesapeake Beach, Pat Mahoney, has been invited to discuss information for the homeowners of Chesapeake Village.
